Independent Play does NOT mean unsupervised play. Do not allow your child to use the Climbing Frame without an adult present.
Do not force or overly encourage your child to climb beyond what they feel is comfortable. They will progress at a pace they feel comfortable with.
We highly recommend that the Climbing Frame be placed on thick carpet or Foam Mats.
Climbing in socks increases the chance of slipping. We recommend barefoot or in shoes with non slip soles.
Always keep your Climbing Frame in a common area (not in a child's bedroom).

Dr. Emmi Pikler, (1902-1984) was a Hungarian pediatrician, author and lecturer known for her revolutionary approach to infant and child care. In 1946 she founded a residential nursery in Budapest, Hungary, the Pikler® Institute, where the focus was to preserve the competence, autonomy and integrity of the young child, ages 0 to six years.
The Pikler approach is based on a kind and respectful relationship between an adult and infant, through tender care moments, a naturally paced motor development, free movement and uninterrupted play.
The Pikler Triangle Climbing frames she used have been recommended by health professionals around the world to promote and encourage child development through open and independent play.
